Q.  What types of plans do you administer?

A.  Defined Benefit; Defined Contribution; Target Benefit; Profit Sharing with Traditional Allocation Formula or with Class Allocation Formula; 401(k).

 

Q.  Do you recommend investments?

A.  No. Retirement Plan Services, Inc. is a third party administrator and does not offer products for sale.

 

Q.  Do you accept commissions or participate in fee-sharing programs provided by investment institutions? 

A.  No.  Our fees are based solely on the services performed, and we do not accept any commissions or fees generated by investment products.  

 

Q.  Do you reconcile plan investment activity or do I have to have someone else perform   this task?

A.  A large part of plan administration is investment activity reconciliation.  RPS, Inc. takes pride in the fact that we provide in-depth trust accounting services, and that we are able to save the client money because of our efficient software and knowledge of the task.

 

Q.  Are you current with changes in the area of qualified plans, thereby making available the latest ideas that may be beneficial to the plan sponsor?

A.  Yes, our staff are members of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, the American Academy of Actuaries, and attend the industry meetings as they take place.  At RPS, Inc., we are "proactive" and do not wait for our client to read about something in a journal, but rather confront them with new ideas when they occur.

 

Q.  Are your fees competitive in the market place? 

A.  Yes, RPS, Inc. is very competitive with the fees charged by similarly situated companies.

 

Q.  Can your company provide services to other professionals who want to offer qualified plan administration services to their clients? 

A.  Yes, and we are currently providing these services for accounting firms and law firms.
