Her career began as the Marketing and Promotions Manager of Empress Cruise Lines where she oversaw all promotional events throughout South Florida. She moved on to be the Marketing Manager with Tele-Visiones Inc. before becoming a Media Supervisor for Zubi Advertising, the largest independently owned U.S. Hispanic ad agency in the United States. At Zubi, she created new, cost-efficient ways to market to consumers that led to an increase of account billings by $28 million dollars net. Before returning to Tampa, Arlene was recruited by the CEO of Latina Magazine to help grow the Florida circulation and the sales revenue. Two and half years later, Latina’s Florida circulation grew to 11% and sales revenues shot up over 500% by the end of her contract. Most recently, Arlene served as the General Manger of Telemundo Tampa where she improved the reputation of the fledgling station, increased sales dramatically and spearheaded efforts to launch a local 6 PM newscast. It was upon leaving Telemundo in 2007 that she saw a need for a marketing agency in Tampa that could cater to clients of all sizes and where she could employ her vast experience and strategic mind. With that concept in mind, MAD House was born.
