Retirement Plan Services, Inc. is located at One Tampa City Center in Tampa, Florida. RPS, Inc. was established in 1989 and provides complete services for all types of qualified plans, include Profit Sharing Plans [with or without 401(k) options], Defined Benefit and Target Benefit Plans.
Our services range from plan design and Implementation to plan termination. We presently administer about 200 active plans. The staff of Retirement Plan Services, Inc. has more than 60 years experience in the pension and actuarial fields.

About Our Staff
Nan Underhill, M.S.P.A., M.A.A.A.
Nan Underhill is a pension actuary and has been enrolled with the Joint Board of Enrolled Actuaries since 1976. She has more than forty years experience in the qualified retirement plan area. Ms. Underhill originally began her pension career with a major New England life insurance company. She moved to the Tampa area in 1978 and has been performing actuarial consulting and pension administration since that time. Nan is President of Retirement Plan Services, Inc. which was established in 1989.
Nan is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, the American Society of Pension Actuaries, the American Pension Conference and the Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council. She has served as a lecturer at pension and profit sharing institutes sponsored by William D. Spencer & Associates held at Pepperdine University and Fairleigh-Dickinson University. For several years she served on the faculty of the Pension and Profit Sharing Institute sponsored by Purdue University.

Shannon L. Childress, CPC, QPA, QPA
Certified Pension Consultant
Shannon Childress joined Retirement Plan Services, Inc. at the beginning of 1991. She is Vice President of Administration for the firm. She is a native of the Tampa Bay area and attended the University of South Florida majoring in Marketing. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, Shannon knew she wanted to pursue a career in employee benefits.
Shannon recently completed the American Society of Pension Actuaries program receiving the designation of Certified Pension Consultant. She also successfully passed the courses to obtain the designation of Qualified Pension Administrator and Qualified 401(k) Administrator. Shannon is working towards becoming an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent, a designation issued and maintained by the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility.
In addition, Shannon is a member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries, Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council and the Tampa Bay Pension Council.
