For the last 25 years, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Hispanic Advisory Council has worked to serve both the community and the Sheriff’s Office through a variety of services. Council members, all of whom are citizen volunteers, strive to engage in activities that promote better understanding and trust between the two.

Our major fundraiser is the Annual Hispanic Law Enforcement Appreciation Awards Dinner. At the dinner we will recognize personnel of the Sheriff’s Office for their outstanding service and scholarships will be presented to several deserving Hispanic students, and to a Sheriff’s Office employee pursuing higher education. The dinner showcases law enforcement as a desirable profession and encourages young persons to continue their education. This year’s dinner will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel Tampa Westshore Airport located at 4500 West Cypress Street Tampa, Fl 33607 starting at 6pm.

Over the last three years, the Council has awarded over $16,000 in scholarships thanks to the support of businesses like yours.

Your support, via a sponsorship and/or ad in the program book, will allow us the opportunity to continue providing scholarships to Hispanics in our community as well as allow us to contribute to the community via goodwill programs like our annual Turkey Dinner Giveaways and Christmas Gifts Programs for underprivileged families.
